INSTRUMENT DESIGN AND CONSULTANCY

Dr John Ferguson has many years experience in sales and marketing and the manufacture of spectroscopic instruments and optical components.

He has been general manager of a factory manufacturing lenses, mirrors, filters, diffraction gratings and miniature spectrometers.  On the instrumentation side he was involved with the development of the first instrument designed to measure the UV protection factor (SPF) of suncreams, and a portable UV spectrophotometer for the detection of counterfeit whisky.

With a wide range of contacts in, and knowledge of, the UK analytical instrument industry, he is able to assist both with the sourcing of specific items and the organisation and supervision of development projects.
